Chennai: It has been revealed that Rs.685 crore has been spent on Corona prevention works in Tamil Nadu. Of this, 9,896 children who lost their parents have been given compensation of Rs.303 crore.
In Tamil Nadu, the costs of purchasing medicines and equipments required for the prevention of corona infection, providing compensation to the field workers before death were spent from the Chief Minister’s General Relief Fund. Thus, the Tamil Nadu government has spent 685,82,20,000 rupees for corona works from 8.5.2021 to 30.6.2022.
In this, compensation of Rs.95.55 crore to 379 front-line workers, compensation of Rs.1.90 crore to 19 journalists, compensation of Rs.303 crore to 9896 children who lost their parents due to Corona, Rs.285,05,20,000 to buy medical equipment, RDPCR equipment, which is a total of Rs.685,82,20,000. spent.
