Madurai: The High Court has ordered a ban on conducting typing tests in Tamil Nadu.
Typing exams are conducted by Technical Education Movement in Tamil Nadu. Undergraduate and Postgraduate Typing Examinations will be conducted in 2 stages as Paper-1 Paper-2. Paper-1 will be a speed test and paper-2 will be a statement and letter test. This practice has been in force for the past 75 years.

In this case, the typing test method has been changed. The exam pattern has been changed so that paper-1 will contain statement and letter and speed test will be conducted in paper-2.
Many filed a case in the High Court branch demanding that the new examination system should be canceled and the old examination system should be ordered to be conducted. The single judge who heard the case ordered that the typing tests should be conducted as per the old system.
Praveen Kumar, the owner of the Typing Training Center in Trichy, filed an appeal seeking to cancel this and conduct typing according to the new examination system.
Among them, a change has been brought in the typing test in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The new examination system will benefit the students. After the announcement of the new exam system, we are preparing the students for the new exam system. Students are also ready to take the typing test in the new mode. It was said that the students were affected by the order of the single judge.
The petition came up for hearing before a bench of Justices Mahadevan and Sathyanarayana Prasad. Then the judges said, ‘The order of the single judge is barred. The judges adjourned the hearing for 2 weeks by ordering that the typing test should not be conducted in Tamil Nadu until the order is issued in this case.
