Tirunelveli: “The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu should visit Nellie often. All the roads are definitely being looked after and repaired due to his visit. This makes us happy. So the Chief Minister should come often and give us many welfare schemes,” BJP legislator Nayanar Nagendran said.

Speaking at the function, he said, “Indeed, I am proud to have participated in this program. I am grateful to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for giving an art college to my Tirunelveli constituency without even considering me as an opposition or alternative member of the Legislative Assembly. Similarly, I have allocated Rs. 15 crores for the Adichanallur Museum and our district. I offer my thanks to the Chief Minister for looking so considerate.
Often, when everyone becomes a leader, they do everything to make their history. I have a wish. I have a desire to have the name of our chief minister in the history of Tirunelveli district. There are two dams in Manimutthar and Papanasam that the Chief Minister has to do. If the two dams are connected through a tunnel, the people of this district will be supplied with water at all times.
It can even be said that if this is possible, it should be done by the central government itself. This is a problem of the people of the district, a problem of people’s welfare. I am bound to appeal on behalf of the people of Nellai district that whether it is the state government or the central government, the chief minister should do it in his time.
There are more writers in Nellai district. All their idols are kept here as memorial pillars. The Chief Minister saw that Muthamizharyna artist was also the protagonist in the writer’s list. There are also freedom fighters.
Similarly, he made several demands, including bringing water from the reservoir to the Manur pond, appointing the necessary doctors to perform heart transplant surgery at the Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital, preventing flood water, etc.
Also, the Chief Minister should visit Nellie more often. If frequent, all roads are definitely being worked on and repaired. We are all happy with this. So the chief minister should come often and give many welfare schemes,” he said.
