Priyanka Chopra is ready to swing into the new year, if her new Instagram post is any indication. In a fun and breezy photo shared by the 39-year-old actress on her profile on the micro-blogging platform, she is seen wearing a pink slip dress, with matching velvety crocs and a pair of cool shades.
The photo shows Chopra sitting on a rooftop swing and flashing a big smile as she looks away from the camera. The actress captioned the photo: “Ready to swing into 2022.” The picture has been clicked by photographer Cibelle Levi.
2021 has been quite a year for the 39-year-old actress with no major releases.
In the work front, the ‘Barfi’ actress starred in Netflix’s adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel, ‘The White Tiger’ which not only received positive reviews from critics, but was also nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay. Chopra played the pivotal role of Pinky Shah, who is responsible for a hit-and-run in the film.
Apart from this, she was also seen in one of Hollywood’s most awaited releases this year, ‘The Matrix Resurrections’, in which she played the role of Sati. Despite her limited role length, the actress made quite an impact with this film, and has received praises from both critics and fans.
In 2022 as well, Chopra has some promising projects lined up. She is all set to begin work on ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. The film has been written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Chopra will also work in ‘Text For You’, a romantic drama directed by Jim Strouse.
In 2019, a wedding comedy was also announced featuring Priyanka and Mindy Kaling, although there hadn’t been much status update on this project since then. In the coming year, Chopra will also feature in the film, ‘Cowboy Ninja Viking’, an adaptation of AJ Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo’s graphic novel by the same name. This film will also star Chris Pratt in a lead role.
Earlier this month, the actress wrapped up work on the Russo Brothers show ‘
’ which is a spy series made by Amazon Prime.
