New Delhi: In connection with the liquor policy corruption issue of the Delhi state government, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao’s daughter and member of the Upper House, Kavita, was interrogated by the officials of the Enforcement Department in Delhi for 9 hours yesterday.

The CBI and enforcement officials have registered a case and investigated the corruption in the liquor policy of Delhi state. According to the Enforcement Department, Vijay Nair of the party received a bribe of around Rs 100 crore on behalf of the Aam Aadmi Party leaders from a group involved in the sale of alcohol, and the group included Sarathreddy, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao’s daughter Kavitha, Makuntha Srinivasulu Reddy.

The CBI has registered a case in this regard and the Enforcement Department has registered a case and is investigating the alleged illegal exchange of money in this transaction. The CBI had interrogated Kavita in connection with the case last December. The Enforcement Department sent a summons to Kavita to appear for the hearing on the 9th in connection with this case. The Enforcement Department allowed Kavita to appear on March 11 (yesterday) as two days’ time was requested.

Kavita, who came to Delhi for the trial, stayed at the home of her father, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao. Yesterday morning, he went to the office of the enforcement department by car. A large number of Bharat Rashtriya Samiti (PRS) party workers had gathered in front of the house and near the office of the Enforcement Directorate. They raised slogans against the central government and the enforcement department.

Meanwhile, officials asked Kavita, who appeared at the Enforcement Department office, various questions regarding Delhi’s liquor policy. They also questioned him about the cell phone and SIM cards he used. The investigation was also recorded on video.

The trial started in the morning and continued till 8 pm. The investigation lasted for a total of 9 hours. The Enforcement Directorate has summoned him to appear again on March 16.

‘Retaliation’: Earlier, while talking to reporters about this investigation, Kavita said, “BJP has taken power in 9 states of the country through the back door. As I cannot enter Telangana like that, it is using the enforcement department to interrogate me for revenge. I didn’t make a mistake. Therefore, I am not afraid of the investigation,” he said.
