Palaniswami came to the AIADMK head office on the 8th for the first time after being elected as the interim general secretary of the AIADMK. Party executives, supporters and volunteers gave him a warm welcome.
In this context, O. Panneerselvam is also planning to come to AIADMK office. Accordingly, his supporter JCD Prabhakar filed a petition at Rayapetta Police Station, Chennai on 8th.
‘When the OPS came to the party office on July 11, due to lack of security, the raiders and thugs gathered there attacked.
When he arrives at the party office in the coming days, some anti-social elements have planned to riot. Therefore, the OPS should provide adequate security so that there is no hindrance in the coming and going of administrators,’ the petition said.
But the police refused to allow the OPS to go to the AIADMK office.
The key of the AIADMK office, which was sealed after the clash, has been handed over to the EPS party as per the court order. In this environment, if the OPS party goes, there is a possibility that unpleasant events will happen in the party office and law and order will be affected.
Already, incidents of conflict have resulted in violence. Therefore, the OPS cannot be allowed to go to the AIADMK head office’, the police said, adding that they will give permission if they get the necessary legal permission.
Meanwhile, former minister Jayakumar filed a petition at the DGP office yesterday. It says:
Palaniswami has been selected as the temporary general secretary in the AIADMK general committee meeting held on July 11. OPS tried to ban the meeting. The court dismissed it. A case has been registered against OPS, Vaithilingam, Manoj Pandian, JCD Prabhakar and others in connection with the clash in the AIADMK office. An investigation has also been started in this regard.
In this situation, it is reported that the people mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR) and their supporters are planning to attack the AIADMK head office again like what happened on July 11. Therefore, the police should provide adequate security to the AIADMK head office to prevent such attempts by the above persons.
It says so.
