Erode: North state workers attacked for cellphones, extortion of money – 7 arrested in two cases!

Tirtharaj’s son Sailender (28) from Uttar Pradesh is staying in Veerapanchatra, Erode and doing painting work. It is said that when he went to a Tasmac shop on Chatti Road, Erode for drinking, 4 people who came there demanded money from him and threatened him. Then, when Sailander refused to pay, the 4 men stabbed Sailander in his ear with a motorcycle key, threw a stone on his leg and took a cell phone, 2 ATMs from him. The 4 persons fled from there after stealing the cards and Rs.620. The injured Shailander has been admitted to Erode Government Hospital for treatment and is undergoing treatment.

In this regard, the Veerappanchatram police registered a case and conducted an investigation. It was revealed that Madankumar (26) son of Sanmukha from Periyavalasi, Erode, Sabari (28) son of Chanduru from Karaivaikal Road, Kannan (31) from Karungalpalayam and Rajkumar (27) son of Selvaraj. . Following this, the police arrested 4 people. There is already a case against Madankumar and cases of kidnapping against others.

Similarly, Veerappanchatram police arrested 3 people namely Sakthivel (26) from Karungalpalayam, Naseer (25) from PP Agraharam and Sakul Ameedhu (25) for threatening and abducting a youth named Julesh (29) from Uttar Pradesh.
We spoke to Veerappanchatram police inspector Shanmughat about this. He told us, “There are already various cases against those who have been arrested, including robbery. Currently 7 people have been arrested and jailed in 2 cases.
If information is received about those involved in activities such as extorting money and stealing cell phones from the youth of Northern States, they will be arrested immediately,” he said.
