Every year on Dussehra, Shiv Sena holds a public meeting at Mumbai’s Dadar Shivaji Park. It is customary for the party leader to address this meeting. For more than 50 years, this public meeting has been held in the traditional manner. Even when the Shiv Sena was in opposition, it never held public meetings. Now the Shiv Sena has split into two. Dissident party leader Eknath Shinde has formed government in Maharashtra along with BJP. As a result, a petition was submitted to the Mumbai Municipal Corporation requesting permission to hold a public meeting on October 5 at Dadar Shivaji Park on behalf of Uddhav Thackeray.

Following this, a petition was given by Eknath Shinde seeking permission to hold a public meeting at the same place. An application was made by Eknath Shinde for permission to hold a public meeting at Bandra-Kurla Complex. Eknath Shindei has been given permission to hold a public meeting at Bandra-Kurla Complex. On the other hand, the corporation rejected the two petitions for permission to hold a public meeting at Dadar Shivaji Park.
The Mumbai Municipal Corporation has said that no matter which team is allowed, there will be law and order problem. As a result, a petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court by Uddhav Thackeray seeking an order to hold a public meeting at Dadar Shivaji Park. Eknath Shinde has also filed a petition in the Bombay High Court that Uddhav Thackeray should not be allowed to hold a public meeting. These petitions are coming up for hearing tomorrow.
In this case, one of the leaders of Uddhav Thackeray’s team, Ajay Chowdhury said, “We have been holding public meetings for 56 years. So no matter what, the general meeting will be held as planned. We will adopt guerilla warfare tactics to protect ourselves,” he said. Shiv Sena’s warning has created more excitement.
