Chennai: AIADMK Interim General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami said, “All AIADMK executives, volunteers and public should hoist the national flag at their homes from August 13 to 15 and remind our young generation of the sacrifice of freedom fighters and inculcate patriotism and national unity.”

In a statement issued by him in this regard, “The 75th Independence Day of our Indian nation is going to be celebrated on 15.08.2022. In that way, the central government is organizing various programs to celebrate the 75th Independence Day under the name of “Independence Day Elixir Festival”.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to all the people of the country to fly the national flag at their homes to celebrate the Independence Day. Also, sharing some hints of history, Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, hoisted the first national flag.
He also recalled the lighting event.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister of India in this regard, he said that while we are making preparations for the events called “Independence Day Elixir Festival”, we will further strengthen patriotism through the movement of raising the national flag in our homes and from August 13 to August 15, all the people of the country will be in their homes. He appealed to the people of the country to fly the tricolor national flag and this movement will increase our connection with the national flag.

Thus the national flag, which is flown at houses from August 13 to 15, is not required to be lowered at night and should be flown for the three days and the rules have been amended accordingly.
The Prime Minister has said.

When we think of the national flag, what comes to our mind is Tirupur Kumaran who is fondly called as “Kodi Katha Kumaran”. Sacrifice his life to protect our national flag under foreign rule
On the 75th Independence Day, we will remember all the martyrs and martyrs of the freedom struggle, starting with Flag Guard Kumaran.

All AIADMK executives, volunteers and public should hoist the national flag at their homes from 13th to 15th August and inculcate patriotism and national unity in our young generation by highlighting the sacrifice of freedom fighters.”
