India is doing well in curbing extremism – USA lauds it

Washington: America has praised that India is doing very well in controlling terrorism.

In this regard, the US Department of State has issued a report: Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen, IS, Al-Qaeda, Jamaat-al-Mujahideen, Jamaat-al-Mujahideen Bangladesh are operating in India. Terrorist attacks were carried out in Kashmir, North-Eastern states and Central regions in the last year 2021 in that country.

153 terrorist attacks were carried out in Kashmir alone. 193 terrorists were killed in Kashmir in one year due to intensive operations by Indian security forces. 45 members of the security forces have lost their lives. 36 civilians died.

Seven people, including an army officer, were killed in an attack by a terrorist organization called the People’s Liberation Army in the northeastern state of Manipur on November 1.

India is doing very well in controlling terrorism. India is doing very well to detect terrorist plots early, prevent terrorist attacks and destroy terrorist organizations.

Biometric testing is conducted at airports and seaports. Luggage sent by air is subjected to double X-ray inspection.

Strict action is being taken against terrorists and terrorist organizations across India. An NIA court recently sentenced 3 Lashkar-e-Taiba militants to 10 years in prison. 8 people involved in the 2012 terrorist attack in Bihar’s Buddha Gaya have been declared guilty.

Government of India is adopting new strategies to control terrorism. According to this, schools are run by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir. Medical camps, employment camps are conducted. The Indian Ocean is very long. Government of India should take more measures to protect the sea border.

India, USA, Australia and Japan jointly conducted a military exercise last November on behalf of the Quad alliance. This is stated in the research paper.
