New Delhi: The Union Health Department has directed all the state governments to strictly implement the corona prevention procedures to control the spread of the influenza virus.

Union Health Department Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has said in a letter sent to all state governments yesterday that the spread of influenza type virus is increasing in some states and union territories of the country. Influenza virus is a seasonal flu. Due to the current climate and unhygienic habits of the public, the H3N2 and H1N1 viruses of the influenza A type are spreading. Adenovirus also spreads.

Influenza viruses have been confirmed to be circulating since December last year. Influenza A virus H3N2 is particularly prevalent. Along with this, H1N1 virus and adeno virus are also spreading. Children, the elderly and people with co-morbidities are particularly vulnerable to this type of virus.

The spread of the Corona virus has decreased significantly over the past few months. However, in some states, the corona virus is increasing. Those state governments should act with extreme caution. State governments should strictly follow the procedures of increasing tests, tracing people who have been in contact with corona patients, and providing appropriate treatment. Corona vaccination program should be implemented seriously. Public should be advised to follow corona prevention methods.

25.4 percent Adenovirus: 25.4 percent of the virus tests conducted at the Indian Council of Medical Research laboratories since January 1 have revealed adenovirus.

Influenza-type virus, Adenovirus usually has symptoms including fever and cough. Diabetes, heart disease, liver disease and chronic patients, pregnant women are more affected by these viruses. They will be treated in the hospital.

Wash your hands frequently to prevent viral fever. Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth when you sneeze or cough. Do not spit in public places. Masks must be worn in public places. People suffering from viral fever should be isolated.

All state governments should now strictly implement the preventive measures followed during the Corona period. Hospitals should be kept ready. Availability of medicines, medical equipment, oxygen should be ensured. Central government will provide all necessary assistance to the state governments. Health Department Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said this.

No need to panic – experts say: Hire Gowda (78) from Karnataka and a 56-year-old man from Haryana recently died of H3N2 virus. Experts have said not to panic.

Tarun Sahani, senior doctor at Apollo Hospitals says, “Only 5 percent of those affected by the new type of viral fever are admitted to hospitals. To prevent the spread of this virus, it is enough to follow the Corona Pandemic procedures. There is no need to fear a new flu,” he said.

Virologist Upsana Roy from the National Academy of Youth Sciences says, “The H3N2 virus flu currently circulating in the country is a normal seasonal flu. Wearing a face mask and practicing social distancing can prevent the spread of this flu. “There is no need to fear about the flu,” he said.
