Namakkal: A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted! – Laborer arrested in Pocso

Rangan (age: 50) belongs to a village near Erumapatti in Namakkal district. Rangan, a laborer, allegedly threatened and sexually assaulted a fifteen-year-old girl from the same area when she was alone at home. In this situation, the girl tearfully told her mother about the cruelty that happened to her. Shocked by this, the girl’s mother lodged a complaint at the Namakkal All Women Police Station.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested Rangan. Later, Rangan was produced in Namakkal Court and lodged in Salem Central Jail. It is also said that the girl who was sexually assaulted is a close relative of the arrested Rangan. The incident has created a stir in the area.
