Following the single leadership issue in the AIADMK, various attempts were made by EPS and OPS to meet Prime Minister Modi. In particular, both sides made serious efforts to meet the Prime Minister who was coming to Tamil Nadu. However, no such meetings took place.
In this context, Prime Minister Modi attended the 42nd convocation ceremony of Anna University as the chief guest. After the ceremony, he reached Chennai airport by road. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, Ministers Durai Murugan, K. N. Nehru, Union Minister of State L. Murugan and BJP officials had arrived at the airport to see off the Prime Minister. O. Panneerselvam also participated in this event.
Already, following the problem in the party regarding the AIADMK leadership, while the OPS and EPS sides did not get an opportunity to meet the Prime Minister in Delhi, the lack of opportunity for both sides in Chennai also has caused disappointment between the OPS and EPS sides.
