In view of the 75th Independence Day celebrations, the central government is carrying out a campaign to hoist the tricolor flag at every house.

To facilitate the sale and distribution of national flags under the door-to-door tricolor campaign, all post offices will be open on holidays before Independence Day. All post offices and other important post offices across the country will be operational to implement this general campaign.
Special arrangements will be made for the sale of national flags on public holidays. The Central Government has announced that special arrangements will be made for distribution of national flags through at least one counter at post offices on August 7, 9 and 14, 2022.
