Mr. Brinson Jose, Chairman and Managing Director of Prince Jewellery, has been elected as the South Zone Chairman of the Gem and Jewelery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). In GJEPC Executive Election Committee for 2022 – 2024, Mr. Brinson Jose was elected unopposed for the 5th time to this prestigious post. The office of Zonal Head – GJEPC comes under the Government of India nominated by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Additional Director General of Foreign Trade.. As the Zonal Head, Mr. Prince Jos will officially represent the GJEPC in the 8 southern states of Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Union Territories (Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry). During the period 2006-2015 when he held the same position, he organized the first ever customer-vendor meeting in Chennai with customers from South East and Middle East countries.

Regarding the new post, Mr. Princeson Jose said, “It is an honor to be nominated and selected as the South Regional President of GJEPC. As the southern region accounts for most of the gold consumption in our country, I am committed to creating an enabling environment for gem and jewelery trade and commerce in the region during my tenure. I will work closely with industry and government to bring policy reforms conducive to trade and commerce in the region. Apart from gold, there is tremendous potential to enter the natural diamond market at a time when we are seeing exciting new discoveries in lab-grown diamonds. My key responsibilities during my tenure are GJEPC’s ‘Vision – Making India the preferred source for quality Gems and Jewellery’ and Mission – To enable every person associated with the Indian Gems and Jewelery sector to achieve their full potential,” he said.
