Severe economic crisis in Pakistan – unable to provide food to soldiers

Islamabad: There is severe economic crisis in Pakistan. Due to this, the price of essential commodities including fuel and food has increased drastically.

Subsequently, the government has taken various austerity measures including reducing the salaries of government employees, reducing the number of foreign embassies, and reducing funds for intelligence agencies. Due to this, the government administration has come to a standstill.

In this case, there is a shortage of food in Pakistani military canteens. As a result, even 2 meals a day could not be properly provided to the players.

The field commanders have written to the Quartermaster General’s office in this regard. Following this, the army officials are holding consultations with the chief of cargo transport and the director general of the army regarding the issue of food supply and cargo transportation.
