The government has introduced a production-based incentive scheme in the food processing sector. Taking advantage of this, the concerned companies should increase the production of food products based on small grains. He said this.
About 170 lakh tonnes of small grains are produced in India annually. It is noteworthy that this is 20 percent of the world small grain production and 80 percent in Asia.
