steel bars that fell from the building; Tragedy happened to mother and daughter on the road!

Generally, at construction sites, nets are installed to prevent objects from falling from above. But in some places construction works are usually carried out without any such safety arrangements. A mother and daughter tragically died when steel bars fell on a construction site in Mumbai. Sama Sheikh, a resident of Mumbai’s Jogeshwari East, was walking on the road with her daughter Ayath (8).

As they both passed a building under construction, steel bars fell from the top of the building. They fell on the mother-daughter and a passing auto. Both of them were seriously injured. The two injured persons were taken to the hospital by the passing auto drivers. But they both died. The police have registered a case against the building contractor for negligence.
