Chenthamarai Kannan said: The area where the east and west winds meet in the lower layers of the Weli Zone is prevailing over the South Indian regions. Due to this, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur at a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 19th (today) and at a few places on 20th and 21st. On the 22nd, light rain may occur at one or two places in coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, adjoining districts, Puducherry and Karaikal.
