New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter Kavitha, who is accused in the Delhi liquor policy corruption case, will appear before the Enforcement Directorate tomorrow.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi government in Delhi introduced a new liquor policy in 2021-22. It was alleged that this favored some industrialists and through this the Aam Aadmi Party received bribes of up to Rs.100 crores.

Subsequently, the Delhi government withdrew the policy. However, on the recommendation of the Lt. Governor, the CBI and the Enforcement Directorate are investigating the case separately. Tests were conducted at various places in this regard.

In this case, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26 in the CBI office for questioning in connection with this case. He then resigned from his post. He is now lodged in Tihar Jail. Kavitha, daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and a member of the state Legislative Council, has also been accused in this case.

In this case, in connection with this case, a summon was sent to Kavitha to appear for investigation at the Delhi Enforcement Department office on March 9. However, as she is going to participate in the protest to be held in Delhi on the 10th to insist on the Women’s Reservation Bill, she had written a letter to the Enforcement Department expressing her desire to appear for the hearing on the 11th.

It seems that the enforcement department has accepted his request. According to this, Kavita will appear at the Delhi Enforcement Department office tomorrow. It has been alleged that South Group is involved in this scam. In this company, businessman Arun Ramachandra Pillai and many others are shareholders. Arun Ramachandra Pillai, who is considered to be Kavitha’s surrogate, was arrested a few days ago. The authorities have recorded his statement. In this case, the authorities are planning to question Kavita based on that.

Prepared for Inquiry: Meanwhile, Kavita, who has gone to Delhi, told reporters yesterday, “We are not afraid of all this. We didn’t do anything wrong. We are ready to face the investigation,” he said.

Sisodia re-arrested: Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia arrested by CBI officials in Delhi liquor policy scam case. Following this, the enforcement department officials conducted an investigation on Sisodia, who is incarcerated in Tihar Jail, on the 7th.

In this case, the officials of the enforcement department went to Tihar jail yesterday and interrogated him for the 2nd time. At that time, he allegedly refused to cooperate with the investigation without answering various questions. Following this, the Enforcement Directorate officials arrested Sisodia yesterday under the Prevention of Illegal Money Transfer Act.
