Trichy: Car on platform; Three killed in body crushing – Intoxicated youth terrorized in the middle of the night!

Near Srirangam Amma Mandapam, Trichy, some of the men who were doing Yasakam used to sleep on the side of the platform at night. Thus, after last night’s meal, some of the Yasakas slept on the platform near Amma Mandapam. In this situation, two young men have been driving a car at high speed in that direction in the middle of the night. At one point the car lost control and ran over the yasakars who were sleeping on the platform. One Yasaka was crushed to death on the spot. The people of the area rescued two seriously injured pilgrims and sent them to Srirangam Government Hospital for treatment.

There they were given first aid and referred to Mahatma Gandhi Government Hospital, Trichy for further treatment. In this situation, both died tragically in the hospital without treatment. Meanwhile, the people of the area chased away the two youths who drove the car at the worshipers and kept going without stopping.
