Murthy, a resident of Poovaithedi village, Velankanni, Nagapattinam district, is engaged in the consulting business of buying and selling old two-wheelers. In this situation, a 68-year-old man asked for a two-wheeler a few days ago, after considering a few vehicles, he chose the Splendor Plus Two-Wheeler. Then he paid a deposit of Rs.1,000 before that and also gave a cell number for communication. The next day he brought something like a wallet in his hand in the style of buying a Splendor Plus vehicle. He gave it to a lady working at the shop and drove the vehicle saying he was going to ‘test drive’ it.
Suspicious as she did not return for a long time, the shop owner checked the handbag she left in the shop. Then he was shocked to see that the paper was tied as if there was money in it, and he lodged a complaint at the Velankanni police station against the mysterious old man with the two-wheeler.
