Patna: Commenting on the CBI summoning Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar questioned what they (CBI) were doing for these five years.

Journalists questioned Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding the raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate at the homes of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in connection with land laundering and the CBI summoning the Deputy Chief Minister. He replied, “The houses of RJD leaders were raided in 2017. After that we (Rashtriya Janata Dal, United Janata Dal) went our separate ways. Five years later we have joined together. Now conducting tests. what should I say. Whose question are they answering? You know I don’t usually comment on things like this,” he said.

When Lalu Prasad Yadav was the railway minister, in the matter of providing jobs in the railways, it has been alleged that those who got jobs had given their land as a gift or at a low price, in the names of Lalu’s family members and surrogates, thereby committing fraud of several crores.

Lalu Prasad is being investigated in connection with this case. In this case, the CBI, which is planning to interrogate Tejashwi Yadav, sent him a summons on the 4th of last month. He did not appear for the trial. Following this, the CBI has sent summons again today (March 11).

Earlier, enforcement officials had raided 24 places yesterday (March 10) including Lalu Prasad Yadav’s house in Patna and Delhi in connection with the scam. The raid also took place at the Delhi residence of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. In yesterday’s test, Rs. 53 lakhs in cash, 540 grams of gold, 1.5 kg of gold jewelery were seized.

Meanwhile, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has posted on Twitter regarding these raids, said, “I have an ideological struggle with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the BJP. It will continue. I have never bowed down to them. Neither my family nor the party will bow down to their politics.”
