Actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar said, “There is no need to be like this to be an actress.”

Actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar’s movie ‘Konnaal Bhavam’ is running in theatres. During an interview related to this film, when Varalakshmi was questioned about her weight loss, she said, “My body is my right. Being an actress doesn’t mean you have to be like this. I also had to face some health problems as my body weight continued to increase. Also, now I am staying in Hyderabad.

I come to Chennai only for shooting and other important things. That being said, Telugu cinema needs certain things. I lost weight for that too. So, don’t listen to what anyone says. Do what you want to do for yourself.”
