Chennai: Information technology and technology sector companies have been laying off workers due to the global economic slowdown. Employees from India are also affected due to this. Experts have opined that in this context, the college campus exam in India has decreased by about 25 percent.
In this regard, they shared with a leading internet media company that publishes business related news. “The current recession has definitely affected campus selection this year. Due to economic stability, many companies are handling their selection process very carefully. As a result, the number of candidates selected through the on-campus examination may decrease in the current year,” said Kalyan Durairaj, Human Resource Director (APAC), FourKids.

Members of the College Placement Cell have reported that the number of institutes has decreased by 20 to 25 percent in selecting candidates for the job through campus selection. This has been confirmed by a leading engineering college operating in Delhi. Due to this, there will be tough competition among the students in the campus examination.
On the other hand, the students who were selected in the campus examination last few years have said that they have not received the offer letter.
