Bengaluru: It seems that Foxconn is planning to set up an Apple phone manufacturing plant on an area of around 300 acres near Bangalore in India. It is expected to invest around 700 million dollars and provide employment to 1 lakh people. Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Tommy and Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar have also said this.
Apple is selling technology devices worldwide. Foxconn is the main manufacturer of this company. Headquartered in Taiwan, the company has factories all over the world (including India).

In this case, a team headed by Foxconn Chairman Yang Liu has come to Bengaluru to set up this new factory. It seems that they have met and discussed with the state IT Minister CN Aswath Narayanan. The minister’s office also informed that the team visited the factory site.
“Apple phones will soon be made in our state. This will create employment for about lakhs of people. Also, this will create various opportunities not only for Bengaluru but also at the state level,” said Chief Minister Basavaraj Pomi.
