Everyone is familiar with the Find My Device feature on Google. This feature helps to track the location of the user’s mobile while it is online on Google’s Android or Wear platforms. But soon Google has announced that it will be able to track the mobile even when the mobile is not online using this Find My Device feature.
The announcement of this new feature was only mentioned in the December 22nd change log. It is mentioned that now we can track the location which was encrypted on the phone through Bind My Device. This means that even if your mobile is no longer online, we can see the location where the mobile was last active offline.

Until now, all devices running on Android or Wear OS platforms can only see their location correctly if they are connected to the Internet. And similarly tracking the location we can lock the device, sign out our account and not only that we can format the entire data. Only these three types of facilities were provided.
Maybe if the device is formatted remotely, then again you won’t be able to locate your phone using device service. And find my device app won’t work even if someone who has your phone resets the phone.
These are the reasons why in the future in its new update Android and WearOS operating systems we will be able to track the location of a stolen or lost mobile online. And since they’re encrypted like Samsung and Apple devices, no one but you can find your phone’s location, which is an added convenience.

But till now there are no exact details as to when Google is going to introduce this feature. It is expected to complete its final phase of testing by the end of December and be launched alongside the Android 14 version.
