Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) launched the Rashid rover on December 11 to conduct research on the moon for the first time. 4,40,000 km. The rover first transmitted data from a distance to the Al Kawaneej Space Center on December 15.

In this situation, it has been revealed that 90 percent of the parts used in the Rashid Rover have been manufactured by a start-up company called SD Advanced Composite from Chennai.

The company’s founder, Devendra Thirunavukarasu, said:

The parts for the Rashid rover were developed over two years of hard work in Chennai using carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), magnesium alloy and aluminium. In short, 90 percent of Rashid Rover’s components are designed and manufactured by our company. This includes rover’s structure, wheels, solar panels, camera, holder and other important parts. 40 parts of the rover’s system were developed by ST.

We are looking forward to the influx of big projects from ISRO. We are working together on Chandrayaan 2, Mangalyaan and many more projects. Apart from this, we are also working with a private satellite manufacturer. This is what he said.
