Gandhi Nagar: Gujarat has become the first state in India to have 100 percent 5G service. Reliance Jio Telecom has announced full 5G coverage in the state.
Prime Minister Modi introduced the 5G service at the Mobile Congress event held in Delhi on October 1. Following this, India’s leading telecom companies Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea announced the same. However, telecom companies have said that 5G service will be available only in certain major cities.

Last October, Jio had announced 5G services in only four cities in India. Gradually it was expanded to some more cities. Today (November 25) Jio launched 5G service in all 33 districts of Gujarat state. With this, Gujarat became the first state in India to get 100% 5G service.
Jio rolled out 5G service in Pune a few days back. Jio is providing 5G service in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nathwara.

As of now, it seems that this is a beta service and users can only use it if they receive an invitation to use it. Jio is offering 5G service for all plans above Rs.229. It has been reported that users who have received an invitation to the Jio 5G service beta trial will be able to use it.
