Elon Musk As the head of Twitter, Elon Musk has caused a lot of changes and confusion immediately after taking office. Twitter fired thousands of employees in one day, including former CEO Barak Agarwal. Apart from that, he also announced that if you want Blue Tick, you have to subscribe to it. It was temporarily withdrawn, causing controversy. In this case, the company is gradually vacating Twitter offices worldwide. In that way, it has been reported that the company is preparing to vacate the office space of Twitter operating in Delhi and Mumbai and the work has already started in December 2022. It is said that the Twitter office which was already operating in Bengaluru has been closed. Twitter has about 150 locations at its WeWork location in BKC, Mumbai, and around 80 locations at The Executive Center in Delhi’s Qutb area. This seems to be vacant now. It is said that Twitter has taken this step to avoid rent and employees are being advised to work from home.

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the company has been making drastic changes and announcements. On January 11, workers at Twitter’s Singapore office were asked to vacate the premises that same day. A mail was sent saying that you have until 5pm to leave the Capitagreen building.

Elon Musk has been working hard to drastically cut costs since buying Twitter for $44 billion. All sides are looking to cut costs, including laying off employees and cutting company rent. He laid off around 3,700 employees in November last year. He threw many people out of work in India. Speaking about this, Elon Musk said that Twitter is like a plane with an engine on fire that is heading towards the ground at high speed and that is why it is cutting costs like crazy.

Meanwhile, Twitter’s head office is operating in a building owned by a company called Columbia Raid in San Francisco. There is also a problem of non-payment of office rent. As a result, Columbia Raid sent a notice to Twitter on December 16. It stated that the rent amounting to USD 1,36,250 should be paid within 5 days. This is Rs 1.12 crore in Indian rupee terms. However, it is said that Twitter did not provide the rent. Columbia Raid is suing Twitter in state court in San Francisco because of this. Twitter is reportedly not paying rent not only for its San Francisco office but also for other companies operating globally.
