Reliance Jio has joined hands with ILBS-Institute of Liver and Biliary Science to provide high-quality medical services by introducing modern technological facilities in the medical sector in the country. Jio, which has launched 5G telecommunication service in India, will introduce new facilities in the healthcare sector based on this Jio True 5G service.
It will implement various facilities like robotic treatments, surgeries, remote ICU, ICU ambulance, community clinic in collaboration with Jio. In particular, the integration of emergency facilities in the ambulance with telecommunication technology services is a new milestone in the medical field.

For example, the ambulance will be equipped with Jio 5G service and equipped with modern cameras and smart devices, and the audio and video information in the ambulance will be exchanged in real time. Ambulance footage, ambulance route, real-time health condition of the patient in the ambulance can all be added to the remote doctor through this high-speed 5G service.
Medulance, which plans to provide this service, plans to convert around 7,500 ambulances across the country into smart ambulances and connect them with Jio’s 5G service. Jio will offer stand alone 5G service in the country after acquiring 700 MHz spectrum license. Companies like Airtel, Vodafone are non stand alone networks. Jio and Airtel plan to roll out 5G services across the country by 2023-24.
