We are in that time of the year when the launch of flagship smartphones is over and it is time for accessories and other smart devices to be unveiled. One notable brand that launches smart devices is Amazon and it is gearing up to unveil a slew of Echo devices and new Alexa features among other services. The e-commerce giant has announced that it will unveil the next-generation devices at a hardware event slated to be held on September 28, 2021, at 9:30 PM IST. As per The Verge, Amazon has sent an invite stating that there will be news about the latest Amazon devices, features and services.

Now, it has been reported that the hardware launch event set for next week will not be live-streamed. It is an invite-only event and only select media groups can access the event.

Previous Amazon Products

Amazon unveiled the new Fire TV stick, Echo speakers, Ring cameras that are an accessory for Tesla owners to monitor their car’s security remotely and Eero routers among other products in the previous years at the hardware event. Also, it took the wraps off a few experimental products in the previous event including an Echo Loop ring, Ring drone that can fly around automatically within your home when a motion alert is triggered, and Echo Frames glasses but these were not released in select markets including India.

Earlier this year, Amazon launched the new Echo Show 10, 2nd gen Echo Show 8, and the Fire TV Stick 4K Max in India. The Echo Show 8 2nd gen model comes with camera controls, a microphone, and the ability to delete voice recordings. Similar to other devices with displays, the Echo Show also features in-built covers that close the camera if the Alexa is recording. Also, it is a cheaper alternative to Echo Show that went official with a swivel display for Rs 24,999. Notably, it is more compact and can be placed anywhere and is priced at Rs 11,499.

Talking about the Fire TV Stick that was launched in India recently, it is the most expensive streaming stick priced at Rs 6,499. It supports 4K UHD, HDR, and HDR10+ and Dolby Vision as well. Also, there is Dolby Atmos support for a cinematic experience at your home.
