The ‘kissing device’ is said to allow far-flung lovers to share their romantic moments as virtual moments. A system has been developed that mimics human lips using silicon. The contraption is equipped with pressure sensors and actuators with these ‘silicon lips’. The device will mimic the pressure, movement and temperature of the user’s lips, the report says. China’s Global Times reported that the device could mimic a real human kiss. And the price of this device is 288 Yuan which is ₹ 3,433 in Indian currency.
To use this remote ‘kissing device’, users need to download a mobile application developed for it and plug the device into the mobile’s charging port. After connecting to the internet with their lover through the app, they can start a video call. They can then send copies of their kisses to each other through the same app, the company said.
The device’s inventor, Jiang Zhongli, says he was in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend and was inspired to create this new type of device because he could only keep in touch by phone.
