Chennai: The Unique Identification Authority of India has said that it is necessary to renew Aadhaar cards obtained before 10 years. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has said that in Aadhaar, which has not been updated for more than 10 years, the documents should be updated, requiring accurate data in the government’s database.

It has been informed that the public can update the card online and by visiting the Aadhaar Enrollment Centers. It has been informed that it is necessary for people to renew their Aadhaar card to avail government and non-government services and benefits. It has been informed that a fee of Rs.25 will be charged for doing this online and Rs.50 for this work through Aadhaar Enrollment Center.
