It must be said that today we are living under the control of websites. If we have a smartphone or a laptop, our eyes and hands are contained in it 24 hours a day. We also believe what every website page says. Due to this many problems are now raising their heads. Especially for India, the dominance of many fake websites is increasing day by day. Due to the news, photos and videos released on the other side, many social disturbances happen and sometimes violent incidents also happen. Also, wrong comments about prominent leaders and people who are popular with the people are also reported on the internet.
In this case, since 2018, strict laws have been passed in India regarding information technology. The Government is empowered to take action against those who misrepresent the website keeping in mind the sovereignty, integrity and security of India and the security of the country. Starting from blocking the website, the government can take any legal action against those who spread unnecessary defamation.
