Last March, WhatsApp company said that it has disabled 47 lakh accounts in India.
WhatsApp has been primarily used in social media for information exchange. WhatsApp operating under Meta company has some restrictions in place for usage. In this case, users who violate the rules will have their accounts deleted.

Accordingly, 45 lakh accounts were frozen in February and 29 lakh accounts in January. Following that, from March 1 to March 31, 47,15,906 WhatsApp accounts were disabled, according to the monthly report of WhatsApp’s parent company Meta.
Meta said accounts were suspended for non-compliance with WhatsApp’s rules, and received complaints from 4,720 users in March seeking account suspension.
