If you keep this ‘Quiet Mode’ on, excessive notifications from your friends and followers will be hidden. This way we can keep our attention from getting distracted at unnecessary times. But there will be no notification to that person that you have activated ‘Quiet Mode’. Maybe even if someone messages you, an automatic message will be sent to them.
Currently, the ‘Quiet Mode’ feature has been rolled out to people in the US, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand from January 19. Instagram has announced that this feature will be available in other countries very soon. Apart from this, Instagram has also introduced many new features.
That means you can decide what kind of posts you want to see. If you don’t like a post, feel free to delete it by selecting the option to show it no more. After that such post will not be shown to you. Likewise, if you don’t like comments, hashtags, etc., you can delete them from appearing on your timeline. You can change the option for this by going to your privacy settings and selecting the Hidden Words option.
